Is There a Controversy Brewing Around Game of the Year?

Not everyone is going to be happy with the outcome based on their personal opinion. I didn’t think breath of the wild deserved to win last year but I didn’t have a vote. I would have given it to Horizon because that to me was more of a Zelda game than breath of the wild regardless of the fact that breath had an incredible physics system, and I thought Horizon was an all-around amazing experience. I think in regards to that though the controversy was less that breath of the Wild was the game to win, and more so that a lot of open world games received Ubisoft comparisons as a negative but Zelda never did which I found odd
