Amazon’s Black Friday week begins today, and there are a ton of offers you won’t want to miss out on. Plus, if you’re a Prime member, you can even use Alexa — the voice assistant featured on devices like the Echo Dot — to unlock Black Friday deals early. If your home doesn’t have such a device, today’s deals bring about a way to change that at a very low cost.
The Echo Dot just received a major update and a new look for the third generation of the speaker, and today, Amazon’s offering a three-pack of the smart speaker for only $69.97 to get your home upgraded as well. Each speaker is regularly sold for $50 otherwise, but today’s deal sends the price down to just $23.32 apiece. That’s even better than the price we’ll see on the single speaker next week, which is set to drop to $24 on Thanksgiving day.
While three may seem unnecessary at first, having just one Echo Dot at home actually isn’t enough. It can fill a room with music playing from Amazon Music Unlimited, but eventually you’ll want to be able to have access to the music, Alexa’s answers, and all the functionality the Dot has in every room of your home that you spend a decent amount of time in. And yes, that surely includes the bathroom — it’s great for shower singing. And if all else fails, they make great gifts too.
With the Echo Dot, you can also start voice controlling tons of smart home products, like the $10 smart bulb and smart plug Amazon is offering right now. It’s also compatible with Philips Hue and the Ring Doorbell.
Other Echo device bundles are on sale right now too, including two-packs of the Echo Show and Echo Spot devices.
