Volkswagen’s U.S. sales rose 13 percent in July to 30,520 on growth from its crossover lineup.
Audi extended its industry-best streak of year-over-year monthly sales increases to 105 months, with deliveries rising 2.1 percent to 19,221 on the strength of the A4 sedan and Q5 crossover.
Notable nameplates: Audi Q5 up 58%; Audi A5 up 5.6%; Audi Q7 down 12%; VW Passat down 22%; VW Golf family down 43%; VW Jetta down 37%; VW Atlas up 398%; VW Tiguan (long wheelbase), 6,636 vehicles.
Incentives (including Porsche): $3,845 per vehicle, up 7.8% from a year earlier, ALG says.
Average transaction price (including Porsche): $35,321, up 2.5% from a year earlier, according to ALG.
