We’ve reached the midway point of July, which this year is home to Amazon Prime Day 2018. This huge, Black Friday-esque sale is now underway and runs for a total of 36 hours (ending at 11:59 PM PT on July 17 / 2:59 AM ET on July 18). It offers a huge array of deals across all categories on the site, including gaming, although Nintendo Switch hasn’t gotten many of its own. There are only hours to go before the end of the sale, so you’ll want to act fast if you’re interested in anything.
Below, we’ve rounded up the best deals we’ve come across for Switch, and we’ll continue to update it as we spot more. Actual offers on individual games have been practically non-existent, but we’ve updated the games section with a handful of deals; some of these aren’t specifically tied to Prime Day, but they nonetheless present a discount.
A desirable Switch console bundle–which has you paying $300 but comes with two freebies in the form of Eshop credit and a microSDXC card for storing your digital games–is in stock at the time of this writing after selling out shortly after Prime Day began on Monday. Jump to the hardware section below for a look at that and act fast if you’re interested in picking it up; Switch discounts don’t come around often.
Access to Prime Day requires an Amazon Prime membership. Fortunately, so long as you aren’t a recent member, you can get a free trial to access the sale–as well as the free games that Twitch Prime is currently giving away. Just be sure to cancel the membership before the trial ends to avoid being charged.
We’ve already shared some tips for making the most of Prime Day; not everything on sale is necessarily a good price, so you’ll want to do some research. As noted above, we’ll bring you all of the best deals we see, but bear in mind that some offers–specifically Lightning Deals–will have extremely limited availability.
Hardware
Hardware deals on Switch might be tough to come across simply due to demand. Amazon launched a nice bundle for $300 that included $20 in free Eshop credit and a 64 GB microSDXC card, but that very quickly sold out. It’s unclear if that will come back or if other deals will also see similar sell-outs, but we’ll do our best to keep an eye out for anything else that comes up. [Update: It’s back in stock, at least for now–act fast if you’re interested.]

So far, deals on Switch games haven’t exactly been plentiful. We’ll continue to monitor Amazon and see what else pops up, but here’s what you can get right now. Some of these are not Prime Day-specific, so you might be able to get them without a membership. Whatever the case, they do represent a discount over their usual prices.
