We’re about to see the start of Fortnite Season 5, and in today’s episode of GameSpot Daily, we talk all about it. Fortnite: Battle Royale always gets a bunch of new cosmetics and other content at the start of new seasons, but unfortunately, we don’t know anything specific as of yet. However, the Fortnite Twitter account shared a new image today that might give us a hint at what’s to come.
The image is of a mask that looks a lot like Kitsune masks from Japan, though we can’t confirm the similarities as anything more than that. However, some people speculate the fifth season will be time travel-themed, as several things have happened in recent weeks. First off, the Evil Lair launched a missile that caused cracks to appear in the sky. Following that, a stage coach has appeared, along with an ancient anchor.
A Fortnite-themed object has also shown up in real-life. Greasy Grove’s Durr Burger was found in a Californian desert, and when people called the number printed on it, it gave coordinates to Greasy Grove.
Regardless of what the season is themed around, we know a Battle Pass will come with it. Previous ones have cost 950 V-Bucks and allowed you to participate in weekly challenges, which unlock skins, emotes, and other rewards. We discuss everything we know about the upcoming season in GameSpot Daily.
But that’s not all. We also talk about Darksiders III‘s newly-confirmed release date and Kallie’s trip down to Anime Expo. Yes, that’s what you’ll find in today’s show, but be sure to tune in every day of the week at 11 AM PST/2 PM EST/7 PM BST/4 AM AEST for another episode of GameSpot Daily. We cover the most exciting gaming news in 30 minutes or less.
