The Samsung Galaxy S8 is on sale at Amazon for $599, down from the previous $724.99 price. The reduction arrives soon after pre-orders for its successor, the Galaxy S9, went live.
The S8 can be picked up in Midnight Black with 64 GB of onboard storage, while the larger Galaxy S8 Plus, has been brought down to $723.62 from $824.99. By comparison, the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus cost $719.99 and $839.99 respectively.
The S8 price is yet to see similar reductions through official carrier partners. The cheapest you’ll find with the major carriers is through AT&T for $654.99, while it’s sitting at $696.99 with T-Mobile and $749 at Sprint.
The Galaxy S8 comes with a bezel-less 5.8-inch display with QHD+ resolution and Snapdragon 835 chipset. It’s still a good buy in 2018, though it’s yet to receive Android Oreo in the US (and this isn’t the best sale we’ve ever seen on it).
