Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio Pricing

SUVs are coming at us from all angles, and Alfa Romeo is approaching from the performance side of things with a new performance ute. The Stelvio Quadrifoglio uses the twin-turbocharged 2.9-liter engine from the Giulia Quadrifoglio, where it produces the same 505 hp. Torque springs up to 443 lb-ft. That, coupled with AWD and a torque vectoring differential, help the Quadrifoglio reach 60 mph from rest in less than four seconds and carry on to a top speed of 176 mph.

Further departing from any meaningful relevance to the traditional sport utility vehicle, Alfa Romeo clocked the Quadrifoglio around the Nurburgring at 7 minutes, 51.7 seconds. That’s the fastest time an SUV has recorded around the ‘Ring, so says Alfa Romeo. We would be lying if we claimed not to find this vehicle compelling, but let’s just say we’d rather take a Wrangler or a Land Rover to Moab.

Base price for the latest Stelvio is $81,590, which includes the $1,595 destination fee. We have not yet seen a comprehensive options list, but Alfa Romeo will offer carbon-fiber-shelled Sparco racing seats and Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes. Considering the athleticism of the Giulia, we have little doubt the Stelvio will deliver similar enjoyment.

We also have little doubt that this hot version will usually crest $100,000.
