Elon Musk has a cool new weapon for sale and TBH we should all be deeply, deeply concerned.
On Saturday the tech genius (who may or may not be evil) posted photographs and video of The Boring Company’s brand new flamethrower, which is apparently now for sale to the general public, and can already be pre-ordered for $500.00.
Cool cool, not terrifying at all.
“Buy an overpriced Boring Company fire extinguisher! You can definitely buy one for less elsewhere, but this one comes with a cool sticker and the button is conveniently riiight above,” the flamethrower’s description jokingly reads.
Musk went on to share videos of the “world’s safest flamethrower” in action, noting the gadgets are especially great for roasting nuts.
Elon then shared a villainous video of himself firing up the flamethrower while standing in front of a giant picture of planet Earth, laughing and running towards the camera operator.
Some. One. Help. Us. Please.
“Don’t do this,” Musk captioned what was actually a super dangerous video. “Also, I want to be clear that a flamethrower is a super terrible idea. Definitely don’t buy one,” he added. “Unless you like fun.”
DUDE. SERIOUSLY???
You’re 46 freaking years old and have a ridiculous amount of influence and power in this world. Do you think it’s possible that you could, I don’t know, try to be a tad more mature when handling a literal weapon that has the potential to cause destruction and harm to people, rather than treating it like a toy?
Has Elon Musk transformed into the IRL version of The Simpson’s super villian Hank Scorpio? We’re pretty sure he just did.
This flamethrower is clearly not the brilliant contribution to the world that human-kind has been missing, so perhaps this behavior is an elaborate plot for Elon to get his very own theme song?
Who even knows — but please, Elon, roast as many nuts as you want, just don’t attack us all with this Boring Company flamethrower.
