This Fat Bear Week transformation will inspire you

Welcome to Fat Bear Week at Mashable! Each fall, Katmai National Park holds a competition as Alaska’s brown bears finish fattening up for their long winter hibernation. This year, Mashable is getting in on the salmon-munching action. Check back with us all week as we follow the fat bear face-offs each day, and remember to get your votes in for each round. Happy fishing!

Fat Bear Week continues with some stiff competition, but it seems like the internet has already crowned its fan favorite.

Please take a moment to appreciate Bear 409, also known as Beadnose, whose pre-hibernation transformation can only be described as thiccer than a Snicker.

She started the season off as a svelte little brown bear, but thanks to a bountiful supply of fish, she fattened up to the voluptuous fluffy queen she is today. Just look at this beauty!

As soon as Katmai National Park tweeted the video of her transformation, Twitter users began praising Fat Bear 409 for her undeniable chunk.

If you want to support Beadnose, she’s facing off against another brown bear legend on Friday, and you can vote for her via Katmai National Park’s Facebook page. Just click her photo and give it a “Like” if you think her jiggles are more impressive than her competitor, Otis.

Others found her super relatable.

We stan fat Bear 409!

While Beadnose’s impressive fat is fun for all of us on the internet, it’s a matter of life and death for her and other brown bears in Alaska. These bears need to fatten up before hibernation each year in order to survive the difficult Alaskan winter.

May your fat serve you well and keep you warm, Beadnose.
