Nintendo Switch launched one year ago. Your save data is still at risk.

Maybe I’m uninformed in saying this but perhaps the cartridge could at least have a saving component. I feel like the save files aren’t big. Didn’t cartridges save games back in the snes days ? Maybe I’m backward, or maybe Nintendo is with their implementations.
There’s a good chance cloud saving is a coming with the paid online subscription, or in the very least it should be part of the package.
